Hiatus Over? Garage Sale Finds

I’m BAAAACCCKKK. Things have been crazy around here… absolutely NO crafting or cooking going on in our household. There’s been sickness, VBS and summer life! It just takes over.

I did hit some garage sales this past Saturday and found some major steals!

This children’s chair was a steal at $1! I plan on painting it a bright bold color for my son’s room.

I was excited about these fabrics! The vintage polka dot was .25 and the other three were $1 each. The little floral is flannel and will make perfect baby blankets. I’m loving the black and white patterns – think they’ll be perfect for pillows or curtains. IMG_5179 How about these beauties? The milk glass beauty was $1 and the other two were .50 each at the antique mall tag sale. I picked up the bunny cookie cutter for .25.

My dad ran across a sale in a nearby town. It was at the home of one of his wealthy customers. He told me, “You know it’s a good garage sale when there are 2 new BMWs parked out front.”  One of his steals was this Wilton Armetale bowl for $10. Seriously. He picked me up this 12 place setting of Christmas china for $30.

IMG_5180 He also bought me the matching glasses and napkin rings! I’m excited to host some Christmas parties. IMG_5185 He also got me this cute little candy dishIMG_5182 And these little custard cupsIMG_5181And this HUGE platterIMG_5183 All in all, it was a very successful garage sale weekend. I also got a pile of like-new baby sleepers for .25 each which I plan to share with some of pregnant friends.

Check over at Rhoda’s for more garage sale finds!
