Here are a few pictures from a baby shower I helped with last weekend! The theme was pink & brown to coordinate with Baby F’s nursery! I had a blast making the diaper cake and “It’s a Girl” banner using some gorgeous ribbons I found at Hobby Lobby.
The flowers on the front of the diaper cake are hair clips for Baby F and her big sister, H.
My pictures of the banner are pretty horrible…. I made fabric flowers for the blanks which I loved.
We had quite the smorgasbord of food! Fruit kabobs, chocolate chip cookies, veggies & dip, bacon wrapped smokies, sausage balls, cookie dough truffles, cupcakes and pink and white M&M’s!
I used leftover papers from the banner to decorate the cupcake tower.
My food contribution were the truffles… recipe to come soon!
I’m also finishing up a tutorial for diaper cakes. I still have the banner I used for this shower so if anyone is interested in it, contact me!
Last Sunday, we threw a baby shower for one of my best friends who’s expecting a sweet girl in May! I thought I’d share a few pictures from the occasion.
The diaper cake…. lots of pink and zebra print! The “flowers” on the front of the cake are actually hair flowers so they can be used for another purpose.
My first time to use my Wilton Dessert Tower. I cut scrapbook paper to fit the tiers and fitted the base with a custom little tutu. I made mini lemon cheesecakes to fill the tower. The recipe to come soon!
I didn’t get any great pictures of the banner since it was hanging on the window, the pictures did not turn out great.
I do have this banner if anyone is interested in purchasing it for a baby shower.
Oops! How did that picture get in there? Oh, well… guess everyone can oogle my darling baby girl!
Update: Here's a tutorial on making diaper cakes. I use rubberbands to secure mine but this should be a great starting point for those wanting to try one!
I’ve made a few onesies for Miss Priss… quite an easy task using the nice iron on adhesive!
I sewed on a sweet little bow to this heart.
Added a button and ribbon to the T.
This cute little birdie is my favorite! I added a bead for the eye and handstitched the edge.
Little Miss modeling one of the onesies along with the matching flower bow!
I helped host another girly baby shower on Sunday… it was so much fun and sooooo girly! Our friend is expecting her fourth baby – but it’s a girl! After 3 boys, she definitely deserved a shower to get some PINK!
I made the banner to hang on the table featuring Baby Girl’s name.
The diaper cake featured a sassy tutu, hot pink tulle, and matching ribbon. If anyone is interested in a tutorial, let me know! I might post one in the future.
The whole spread! The table had green & pink tulle along with pink beads and jewels to add sparkle.
I designed cupcake toppers that matched the invites. I currently don’t have a cupcake tower though I’m coveting this one. I stacked two cake plates to display the cupcakes.
One final picture! I loved the color combination and how everything matched perfectly – even the punch!
I helped host a baby shower this weekend with a theme of LADYBUGS! It was such a cute theme and fun to work with!
I made the diaper cake. I loved doing the red & white theme!
The cake was actually ordered from a grocery store. I thought it turned out decent for the price. It was really delicious to boot!
I made a name banner using my handy-dandy Cricut again! The lady bugs were cut out using the Doodle Charm cartridge. I also used the Crop-A-Dile to stack all the pieces and punch it all at once. It sure made it easy to get all the holes even.
I wish I had a picture of the invitations. We used the Cricut to cut out ladybugs and flowers and then layered vellum over them. Maybe I’ll add a picture later.
We hosted my sis-in-law’s baby shower today. It was held at my other sis-in-law’s home! Thought I’d share a few photos of the day.
Gift box from yours truly. I didn’t have a box the right side so I cut the lid off my tot’s shoe box and wrapped it up like a gift basket.
Name banner courtesy of my Cricut.
Onesie decor – I’m hoping to post a tutorial on how I made these.
The beautiful cake once again made by my talented mother-in-law!
She used this plate for her design.
