Garage sale time! Who-hoo! Did you know it’s much more complicated going garage saling with a 3 year old and infant?
This week, I only went to 3 garage sales… I do it drive-by style – drive by to see if it’s worth getting kids out of the car to have a looksie.
My total this wee was $7.25. $2 for a very heavy, solid brass lamp, .50 for a large Norman Rockwell print and $3.75 for a pile of baby girl clothes.
This is a huge framed piece… I figured .50 for the frame was worth it to me! My dad about had a conniption fit that I was planning on ripping out the print to paint the frame and use it for something else. So, my dad may end up with this instead…
This lamp is solid brass and HEAVY. I’m thinking a good coat of ORB paint and it will look awesome. I just need to get over my fear of re-covering lampshades…
One other great find was a beautiful white changing table for one of my bestie’s. She’s been looking for one and I ran across one that had large drawers and was in decent shape for all of $15. You cannot beat that price!

how fun...I do the same thing! I drive around town when I can with my two littlest looking for good sales (my boys are 7, 4 & 1 1/2)...nothing beats great finds!!
