Cakes, cakes, cakes!

We had a busy birthday weekend. C & I headed to the in-laws to celebrate the January & February birthdays - 5 in all! I thought I'd share the cakes that my talented mother-in-law made... The one on the right is for Morgan who turns 21. She got a margarita cake! The cake on the left is for the old people who got a warm milk (in a margarita glass) cake. Ha ha! I thought they turned out great, so I wanted to share. Sunday we went to a party for our friend, Rylan. Her mom used the Wilton cupcake pan to make the large cupcakes and then made all the regular cupcakes. I thought everything was so cute and had to show it off for her. :) Isn't the tablescape gorgeous? The zebra print paper is tissue paper!
And I ran across this rainbow cake here. I think this would be so perfect for a child's birthday party! I think you could do the same technique with regular cake batter. It kind of makes me think 70's hippie.
