Happy Anniversary to Me!!!

The hubby and I celebrated our 6th anniversary yesterday! 6 years of bliss, 100 more to come!

We purchased my anniversary gift a few weeks ago - this yellow hutch in need of a transformation. I found it while walking downtown and window shopping at a used furniture store. We called in to check the price and have them measure it. It was the perfect size for my dining room and it was a steal at $84!

Sorry for the bad before pics. We had the hutch in mid-remodel house of my dad's and I didn't have enough room to get a full on pic.

The After!!!
We have one drawer that got unintentionally distressed by a contractor so we have to refinish it and I still need to put the hardware back on. I spray painted the original pulls flat black. They turned out great and it saved money reusing them!

A few treasures I have on it - these birds I found on sale at Michael's
This sweet spring wreath from Michael'sI used the same green paint as here. This green is called Acid Green by Kwal Paint. What a name, right?

  2. I love it! And the colors work really well, and make your pottery "pop." Happy Anniversary! :) That's what I tell my husband too; no matter what year it is, we have 100 more to go. ;)
