I hope everyone has a lovely 4th of July celebrating the freedoms that many have died fighting for. My grandfather is a World War II veteran who earned a purple heart and was a prisoner of war. He endured much for our freedom and I am proud of him!
On to my little touches…. I like to plant my beds in blue (purple), red, white and yellow. Here’s one of my favs this year. The flowers are an electric blue – so bright and cheery!
This little sign was picked up at a garage sale – new for $1! (Please don’t mind my awful wallpaper that I can’t wait to redo) Sign on one of our doors.
I made this banner with some sweet vintage-like floral papers I found at my local scrapbook shop. I added a coat of matte Mod Podge to finish them off. The Mod Podge gives them the feel of vinyl. Hopefully, the banner will last for many more 4ths! Here is another project with the same papers. I painted a cabinet door and used Mod Podge to adhere random strips of paper to it. I used my Cricut to cut out the stars and letters. I also inked the edges of the stars and the finished board to give it an aged feel. Finished off with a couple coats of Mod Podge. Hope you have a wonderful 4th of July!
Cuuuuuute stuff! I love the banner and the cabinet door!

Hey, peeking in after vacation--congrats on finding out you are having a baby girl!!! I've been meaning to ask you, the letters that you have been using, are you buying them or using a cricut or something?
