Sewing for Girls

I have done a few very simple projects lately for my little miss. Girls are so much fun to sew for though I oftentimes feel overwhelmed with all the options. Should I add lace? Maybe ric rac? Keep it simple? Extra ruffles? So many decisions!

This outfit ended up being Miss T's Easter outfit. I made a very simple twirl skirt with two fabrics, appliqued a little flower onto an inexpensive shirt and then whipped up a headband.

This little tank dress started with a cheap tank top from W@lmart. I gathered up a skirt and attached it to the tank. The extra tank fabric was bulky so I trimmed it off.  I finished it off with a ruffle and some matching fabric covered buttons.

Here is Miss T modeling her tank dress after church

This peasant dress was a possible Easter dress for Miss T... the same colors as her above outfit. I just wasn't sure if I liked the body fabric so I went with Plan B. BUT, I do love this dress. I found the free pattern on fabric.com.

This tank was a birthday gift for one of my niece's. I really love the spring colors and am planning on making one similar - I love it so much!
