The original color is a wood like brown. It looks black in the picture though. So, I painted it black with visions of maybe attempting to recover the lampshade... until I found this:Then, my vision changed! Completely! Now, I've completely re-done my craft room to coordinate with the lampshade. And I repainted the lamp again! Here's the finished project. I think she turned out beautiful.

It turned out great. Did you recover the original shade? If not, where oh where did you find that fabulous new shade? I LOVE it! When do we get to see pictures of your made over craft room?
